Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 September 2026
VerifyShield Technologies, LLC ("VerifyShield," "we," "us," or "our") operates verifyshield.aero (the "Site") and provides independent document-integrity verification services for aircraft transactions (the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. The short version
We collect very little. We do not sell your personal information. Most importantly: we do not store the contents of the documents we help verify — our process produces only a mathematical signature, and the underlying document is not retained by us. The details follow.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide to us. If you contact us through the Site (for example, via our contact form or a request for materials), we collect the information you choose to submit — typically your name, email address, company or firm, and the content of your message, which may include details about an aircraft transaction. You control what you include.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure may log standard technical information when you visit, such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring pages, and timestamps. This is used for security, troubleshooting, and understanding aggregate Site usage. See our Cookie Policy for details. As of the effective date, the Site does not use analytics or advertising cookies.
Fonts. The Site loads typography from Google Fonts, served by Google. When your browser requests these fonts, Google receives your IP address. We do not control Google's handling of that data; see Google's privacy policy.
3. Documents submitted for verification — our data-sovereignty architecture
This is central to how VerifyShield works and how we treat your most sensitive material:
- When a document is submitted for anchoring (typically by an escrow agent at closing), we process it solely to generate a one-way mathematical signature — a SHA-384 "Digital Fingerprint."
- We do not retain or store the contents of the document. Once the Digital Fingerprint is generated, the source document is discarded from our processing environment. We retain only the fingerprint.
- A Digital Fingerprint cannot be reverse-engineered to reveal the document's contents, financial terms, signatures, or any personal information within it.
- The fingerprint is anchored to an independent, distributed integrity record. The proof of integrity exists independently of VerifyShield and does not require us to hold your documents.
In short: you retain control of your documents; we hold only the proof.
4. How we use information
We use the information described above to: respond to your inquiries and provide requested materials; provide, maintain, and improve the Site and Services; generate and verify Digital Fingerprints and issue Certificates of Integrity; maintain security and prevent fraud or abuse; and comply with legal obligations.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may share information only as follows:
- Service providers who perform functions on our behalf — including website hosting, email delivery, form processing and distribution management (GoHighLevel), and distributed-ledger anchoring infrastructure — under obligations to protect the information and use it only for those functions.
- Legal and safety reasons — to comply with applicable law, legal process, or enforceable governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of VerifyShield, our clients, or others.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
6. Data retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Digital Fingerprints and Certificates of Integrity are designed to be permanent records; the personal information associated with an inquiry is retained for a shorter period appropriate to the purpose for which it was collected.
7. Security
We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Our architecture is designed to minimize what we hold in the first place: we do not retain document contents.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us through the methods in Section 13. We will respond as required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident and the CCPA/CPRA applies, you have the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect; to request deletion; to request correction; and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CPRA. You also have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights.
EEA / UK residents (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If GDPR or UK GDPR applies, you have the rights described above plus the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority and, where processing is based on consent, to withdraw consent at any time.
9. International data transfers
We are based in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., your information will be processed in the U.S., where data-protection laws may differ from those in your location.
10. Children's privacy
The Site and Services are intended for businesses and professionals and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party websites or resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and this Policy does not apply to them.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
