This Cookie Policy explains how verifyshield.aero (the "Site") uses cookies and similar technologies. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make sites work, to remember preferences, and to understand how a site is used. "Similar technologies" include local storage, pixels, and tags that perform comparable functions.
2. Our current use of cookies
We have designed this Site to be light-touch. As of the effective date, the Site does not set its own (first-party) cookies, and does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies. We do not build profiles of visitors or sell visitor data.
Third-party fonts (Google Fonts). The Site loads typography from Google Fonts, served by Google's servers. This does not place advertising cookies on your device, but your browser does send a request to Google to retrieve the fonts, and Google receives your IP address as part of that request. We do not control Google's processing; see Google's privacy policy.
Server logs. Our hosting provider may record standard technical request data (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability. This is server-side logging, not cookies, and is described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Categories we may use in the future
If we later introduce features that rely on cookies, they will fall into these categories. We will update this Policy and, where required, request your consent before non-essential cookies are set.
- Strictly necessary — required for the Site to function (e.g., security, load balancing). These do not require consent.
- Functional — remember preferences such as language or display settings.
- Analytics / performance — help us understand aggregate usage so we can improve the Site. (Not in use as of the effective date.)
- Advertising / targeting — we do not currently use these and have no plans to. (Not in use.)
4. Managing cookies
Because the Site does not currently set its own cookies, there is nothing to opt out of at the first-party level today. You can still control cookies generally through your browser settings — most browsers let you block or delete cookies and notify you when one is set. Blocking some cookies may affect how some websites function. To limit the Google Fonts request specifically, browser extensions that block third-party requests can be used, though they may affect how the Site appears.
If we introduce non-essential cookies in the future, we will provide a consent banner and a way to manage your choices at that time.
5. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as the Site evolves. We will revise the "Last updated" date and, where required, provide additional notice. The accurate, current statement of what the Site uses will always appear in Section 2.
