How It Works

Know what your documents were. Prove it whenever you need to.

VerifyShield creates a Cryptographic Anchor at the moment of closing — a permanent, tamper-evident record of exactly what existed, and when. Here is the full process, including what we never do.

Phase 01 · Zero-Hour Anchor

The moment proof begins.

At closing, the executed file — bill of sale, registration application, lien releases, and any addenda the parties designate — is processed through the VerifyShield protocol.

  1. The Digital Fingerprint is generated. Each document receives a unique mathematical signature computed with the SHA-384 standard. Change a single character in the document and the fingerprint no longer matches. The fingerprint cannot be reversed to reveal the document's contents.

  2. The source file is discarded. VerifyShield never stores, reads, or retains your documents. The fingerprint is created and the file is gone. Your data sovereignty is complete.

  3. The fingerprint is permanently anchored. The Digital Fingerprint is recorded to a distributed consensus network — a permanent public record layer that no party, including VerifyShield, can alter or delete.

  4. The Certificate of Integrity is issued. Each anchored document receives a Certificate carrying its identifier, document designation, anchor date and time, and Digital Fingerprint — everything required for independent verification.

This is the Zero-Hour Anchor: the permanent record of what the closing file was at the moment of execution.

The Zero-Hour Anchor is the moment your documents become independently verifiable. Everything before this is trust. Everything after is proof.

Phase 02 · Independent Verification

Permanent on its own.

The Zero-Hour Anchor is permanent and needs nothing further to stay valid. Anyone holding the Certificate of Integrity — a counterparty, a lender, successor counsel, an heir — can confirm a document at any time by comparing its Digital Fingerprint to the one anchored at execution. If even one character has changed, the fingerprints will not match.

Verification requires no account, no fee to verify, and no reliance on VerifyShield's word. The proof exists on the distributed consensus network, independent of every party to the transaction — including us.

What verification confirms

That the document in hand is identical to the document anchored, and when that anchor was created.

What verification does not confirm

Content accuracy, signature validity, legal effect, title, or ownership. Those determinations belong to counsel and the institutions built for them.

Phase 03 · VerifyShield Continuity — Optional

The record, maintained.

The Anchor proves what the closing file was. For owners who hold aircraft across years and document events — refinancings, lien releases, registration amendments, entity restructurings — VerifyShield Continuity is the optional annual program that maintains the Continuous Integrity Record: a cryptographically linked chain of every Anchor created for the aircraft over time.

Each new authorized document event can be anchored as a Cryptographic Anchor extending the chain. If a filing requires correction, VerifyShield performs a Chain Extension — the corrected document is anchored as a Supplemental Anchor linked to the original, preserving a complete Forensic Chain of Custody rather than overwriting history.

One aircraft, one chain: every authorized document event extends the record; nothing is overwritten.

Continuity includes Sentry, the registry-visibility module.

Sentry provides periodic, documented awareness of public-record activity on the FAA Aircraft Registry affecting the enrolled aircraft, delivered in writing:

Scheduled

Registry Status Report

A scheduled written report confirming the current public-record registry state of the aircraft.

As identified

Event Notice

A written, factual notice when qualifying public-record activity is identified, with document references from the public record.

Annual

Annual Continuity Report

The year's registry activity and chain status, delivered with the Certificate of Continuous Integrity.

Sentry observes the FAA public record on a scheduled periodic basis. It does not monitor client documents or private files, does not provide first notice of any kind, and reports what the public record shows — interpretation remains with counsel.

Scope of Proof

What we prove. What we don't.

VerifyShield provides proof of document integrity, temporal anchoring, continuity of anchored records, and public-record registry visibility through Continuity. VerifyShield does not provide legal opinions, title opinions, title insurance, escrow services, historical lien search, signature-validity determinations, enforceability conclusions, or ownership determinations.

We state precisely what we prove because the perimeter is the point.
